About iBelieveSC

What Is iBelieveSC?

iBelieveSC is a coalition of Christian believers reaching out across racial, political, regional, and denominational lines to share the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of South Carolina. Our Board of Directors and our Interdenominational Advisory Council represent 17 denominations and we enjoy ordained ministerial representatives in most South Carolina communities.

Unite the Christian Community

iBelieveSC supports a goal all Christians can get behind: furthering the Gospel in South Carolina.

What We Believe

iBelieveSC is non-denominational and dedicated to the historic Christian faith. We have chosen the simple words of The Apostle’s Creed from the Fifth Century A.D. to summarize our core beliefs. There are numerous versions of the Apostle’s Creed. This version is taken from the Lutheran tradition:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen
